A new CD in the works!

Hey all, as alluded to in the previous post we are hard at work putting together a new CD. We hope to have the tracks done some time in May, then it's a bit of mastering and off to press. It has been a couple of years of collaboration between us with a ton of ideas. I can't give too much info away at this point, but the process has started with again an unusual approach to creating the bed tracks. We are still trying to capture a vintage feel with a much more polished product.

We are also pleased to say the we sold all of our CD's from our initial run. This means we are at a point where we need to decide if we should publish another run or stick with the drop cards. What do you think of drop cards?

It has been nothing short of fun so far, and it has been the work we have done at events like this that have spawned the inspiration for the new tunes.
It does have a unique Saskatchewan feel!

Stay posted for up dates!

Lou the worldly ambassador

Well as it has been pointed out to me, it has been a while since my last blog movement. So I thought I would tell you all a story about Lou working in Taiwan a couple months ago. Lou went to the far east on a promotional tour to help support the new CD. Yes that's right, a NEW CD!

He hired a guide named Pai, (Lou liked to call him "Pie") that knew the lay of the land so off he went to help us find fame and fortune in a place where no one can even pronounce his name.

Here is a shot during one of his prouder moments out side the famous record offices of the publishing company called 炒空心菜. Lou was welcomed with open arm and some tasty spring rolls while he got down to business trying to arrange CD sales and a tour date.
The record executives Mr. 炒空心菜, and Mr.炒空心菜 were most impressed with his crafted negotiation skills and worldly charm that we all have come to love about Lou. In fact they asked Lou and his assistant Mr. Pai Gu Fan to spend the night, enjoy the local scene and resume business discussions next morning.

The club on the lower level featured a tribute act that played sci-fi action movie tunes called R2 and the Wookies.

After settling in at the nicer guest suites, Lou and Mr. Pai went to the club.
Mr. Pai professed that he could drink Kavalan whisky, 原文链接 all night no problem, and tried to prove himself right. Lou knew better and after a short while he threw in the "No Chancy Mr. Wheland" towel and went to bed.

Fast forward to 4:45 in the A.M. Hotel security was screaming at his door, something about perverted white band guy in the band room violating the props and that every one had to go.

Shocked and upset Lou protests that he has been sleeping all night, to which security replies when they apprehended the molester in the act he claimed to be Lou Fontaine, then made a break for it.

Turns out Mr. Pai threw around names once he realized they caught him with his pants down, and with the language barrier the staff ( and tattoos) thought it our man Lou.

The end result was Lou got bounced, the deal got scrubbed and were asking every one to be on the look out for Pai Gu Fan, who could be posing as Lou Fontaine. Note the enclosed pic below for future reference.
