Cool cars, Bat Man and a great time in P.A.
I have wonder if the caped crusader is hoping that we take our greasy paws off the car beforeBAm Pow
I think the guy in the back is shouting over the mic to take cover as the after burner was kicking in...
So we get hired to play the Prince Albert "Northern Lights" Casino for the out door car show and the lounge. Looking forward to a fun filled weekend we hit the road. The car show was fantastic! I can not believe that there are so many cool cars in northern Saskatchewan. The casino hired a guy from Billings Montana to drive up and display his (one of four made) 1966 Bat Mobile. This was the real deal. The original Bat Man series and one of the original cars! Half way into our show Bat Man himself (or reasonable facsimile) dropped in to sign autographs. Well it did take long and all of use were getting our photo's with Bat Man and the car. Lou got to sit in side and play with the buttons. All was well until he hit the turbo afterburners..... At first I thought it was just gas from eating at Mr. Sub but when I could smell the aroma of burning plastic I knew we were in trouble, or at least our beer cooler would never be the same...
The P.A. Casino does a great job, and this place was packed. We had a great opportunity to run into an old friend who use to gig in Saskatoon thirteen years ago, then moved to work in the casino. Our buddy Paul Lomheim has one of the coolest jobs going, and fun staff! Here are a few pics from the out door car show stage.
I got to say I loved every minute of this event, as did Clem and Lou. We look forward to hanging out there again!
