Waskesiu MS Bike Tour and the Lakeview Hotel

September always marks the end of summer, and no better way to say good bye than to spend it at Waskesiu. The is one of Canada's National parks and one of the best places in the province of Saskatchewan. We seem to luck out and have an opportunity to play at the Lakeview Hotel every year. Now anyone that has ever been to the bar at the Lakeview knows that they always host a great time!
Here we are crankin out a few tunes.

Finally we got a shot of our friend Rob "Hazel" Anderson as he poses with "Clem" (Cam) and Lou "Lucifer". It only get's ugly from here cause this is where the waitress just told the boys "Were out of GIN"

Notice that the news isn't bothering Hazel....he's drinking beer

Not only is the a good time and a great bar, but we also combine the trip to allow us to work with the local MS Society. We have made some good friends over the years thanks to Lou Sr, and Carol Fontaine (that's right, Lou's mon and dad) who work hard every year to campaigne for this worthy cause. Carol Fontaine is an avid cyclist with some kind of turbo charged titanium whoop-tee-doo super bike. Lou Sr. supports the bike teams by driving the motor home and the check point volunteer work. In 2005, $295,000 was raised by cyclists in Saskatchewan - $6.3 million was raised across Canada!
Lou's mon and dad do an exceptional job of rasing funds, Lou Jr. likes to help by telling us "sponser my mom if you know what's good for you..."
You can even go on line to sponser a cyclist, and Carol's team is called "Back of the Bus" https://msors.mssociety.ca/bike2006/Lookup.aspx?L=2
